Overview of the (already half-gone) buffet…
Again, Missmodernage trusted in the amazing recipes of Ming Makes Cupcakes. For once, we focused on the savouries & cookies. On the pic above you can see savoury #2 Cheddar Scallion Cupcakes with whipped Cream Cheese. Not dry at all & really tasty.
Next we tried savoury #1 Tiny Scones with Bleu Cheese Cream Frosting, on the first pic you can find them on top of the étagère. Missmodernage used cream cheese instead of heavy cream & apricot jam instead of fig jam- delicious!
The salmon tarts were actually invented by Missmodernage’s mom and are very easy to do: the small tartlet cups can be bought at Migros or Coop. The filling is cream cheese (either with herbs or with horseradish) mixed with chopped smoked salmon- voilà.
Finally cookie #4 Buttery Almond Cookies w/ Cranberries & Chocolate Chunks. Once again, we used less sugar than indicated in the recipe. Warning: they will melt into huge flat blobs while baking- separate them well, or you’ll end up with one giant cookie.
