& Other Stories: Missmodernage digs the Shoes & Bags, still prefers drooling over Clothes at COS

As staying in Barcelona this week, Missmodernage naturally took the opportunity to check out the recently opened shop of H&M’s spin-off  & other stories. One of our last week’s hot lunch break topics had been: what is the difference between & other stories & our beloved COS? Is there really a need for another COStly (haha. Sorry.) H&M brand? So here our still fresh impressions- listen up, Amy!

As a take home message, we’d say that we still like Monki COS best. We adore the simple cuts & the nice fabrics. Also, the shops are spacious & clearly arranged. After checking out & other stories, we went there & we could have bought at least 5 items (had we had the dough, haha). Jean-Paul treated himself to 2 shirts à 59 Euro & we patiently advised our shopping queen. But now, please, back to & other stories: there were 3 floors at the shop located at Passaig de Gràcia. The upper floor mostly sells cosmetics  – not of any particular interest to us. The main floor is primarily reserved for clothes – a rather small choice, pricey, nothing that put would us into a shopping frenzy. The basement floor on the other hand we liked a lot as there’s a considerable & interesting choice of shoes that seems to be of good quality (other than “normal” ugly H&M plastic shoes, ugh!). Some nice leather bags can be found there, as well.
